I think Adam is the huge stand out in the crowd. You're right about Freddie Mercury. That's exactly who I thought of the first time I heard him sing. I don't like country music, so I thoroughly enjoyed Adam's rendition of "Ring of Fire." He's the star in my book. Let's see what happens tonight!

Scooter, I am right there with ya. I like Adam as well.

My husband is the epitome of appropriate behavior ... the antithesis of me. ;-) He doesn't use slang, rarely curses, etc.

On Sunday at church there was a soloist with whom we are not familiar. While she was singing, he leaned over to me and said, "Hey dog! Kinda pitchy. I don't know who you [sic meaning she] are."

I almost had to leave church because I was internally laughing so hard. BTW you won't get this if you don't watch American Idol.

OH BR, I would have died. Good for you for keeping it in!!

I guess I have to change my name to shallowsupermom.
It's okay, I enjoy watching them compete. The majority have been performing for years, looking for a big break.

Adam has been in several plays - Wicked, The Ten Commandments and a few others, touring. He is not a novice but hasn't been before an audience of 30 million!

Anoop was in a PBS after-school series for several years as a character named Raj and sang with an acappella group at NC.

Danny has been the worship leader at a huge church in Minnesota.

Allison won a Spanish version of a reality show like American Idol.

Kris is a worship leader and has released some music independently.

Matt sung with a gospel choir near Detroit, released 2 independent cds, and played piano and sang at Monoco Bay in Kalamazoo.

Lil grew up singing in her church.

Scott has several cds and has performed around the world.

Michael is another worship leader

I don't know much about Megan's background - she is pretty and can carry a tune;-)
