...should watch Great American Band. It was on last night at 8pm. It was really good! The judges are Dicko ( yeah we had funn with the name) some record dude from New Zealand I think, Sheila E, who's a really good judge) and John Resnick from the Goo Goo Dolls. There are some really talented bands that made it. There's a band from Nashville that I fell in love with called The Clarke Brothers.

Shoot, we meant to watch it and missed it. A band from here with friends of Mr. Pod's made it--Dr. Zhivegas. They're in the commercial for the show. Did you see them, OL?

Of course, being the biggest AI fan here, I watched last night.
It was fun, even though my whole family was not as into it as I was.

Here are some interesting tidbits for you: the two girls in the band DOT DOT DOT, were in a band with Gina Glocksen, from AI, called Catfight. They are out of Chicago.

The Clarke Brothers - loved them btw, one of the brothers played fiddle for Carrie Underwood!

I couldn't pick a favorite last night, I liked almost all of the 12 they whittled down to. A huge variety of musical genres - even a big band, who was great too!

OL: didn't read your whole post - of course we would both like the Clarke Brothers

Ooooh...I could get into this. When and what network, please? (Sheila E is one of my feminist musician heroes, and Resnick is just plain hott. Worth the price of admission right there.)

I don't remember them but they went through some of the ones that made it pretty fast. I'll have to look for them.

We caught part of it. Enjoyed Sixwire. :clap:Did you see when that dicko guy said, 'You were hot." and the blonde singer/speaker gull thanked him and he responded, "Not you. You" , pointing to the gull next to her. As if...  She just grinned and kept answering their questions. Maybe he's going to be "the bully" judge.

;-) Dot Dot Dot had some energy didn't they? Sam loves Fall Out Boy and I told her the lead singer reminded me of Pete Wentz after a few energy drinks. Love the tidbit, so glad you're watching so you can keep us up on all the latest.
