I often think Simon is right on...won't comment much about Taylor though...he's got lots of loyal fans here :shock: Seriously, he's pretty dang cute and he does nail some of the songs, some of the time. Glad you voted for Elliot though...he sang his heart out....

I'm ok with any thoughts regarding Taylor. I can handle it.

Katharine is gone. Of course the Elvis theme was out of her element. I liked Jailhouse Rock. Do not think Taylor sounded like karaoke. The audience loves his dancing. Simon must lead a boring life. Nora Jones is so boring! And yes, alot of people watch this crap, Doug and Wendy, as you two call it every week. 45 million people worth every week obviously, because that is how many people have been voting. Have no room for her style of music.

Yeah, me too. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. So many people love Elliott but I just can't see/hear what it's all about. I think his voice is boring and kind of monotone. Obviously I know nothing about music because the judges think he is the best singer ever to grace the stage. I like all the final 4 so it's hard.

Okay, this is my opinion-Taylor's dancing....I love it! It makes him unique. Yes, sometimes it gets a little weird but there's just something about him.

I like Katharine but I agree that she needs to go after last night. She seems to be a really sweet person, has a beautiful voice and is absolutely gorgeous but for some reason she just is sort of goofy on that stage and it makes me uncomfortable sometimes.

The guys have just outclassed the women in this one. I hope Elliott continues because I really enjoy his voice. I think the final will be Chris and Taylor, and in the long run I would like to see Chris win -- I think his voice is well worthy of heavy rotation, given the right music. Of course at this point it doesn't matter and maybe being the Idol would hurt him. Bo Bice is doing OK!

Don't get me wrong, I like taylor too. No doubt he is an entertainer with lots of energy and soul. I just think Elliot had the best night out of them all. I predict Taylor vs Elliot for all the marbles...

It's really hard not to like all of them! The compilation album is coming out soon but I wasn't too crazy about the songs they chose to put on it. My kids will buy it I'm sure. Tickets go on sale in a week or so for the summer concert tour. This one would be a good one to see compared to past idol concerts since the talent was so good this year.

TFT, Simon was on the "Today" show this morning and predicted Chris and Taylor as the final two as well.
Chris was our family favorite from the beginning, but he'll get a record contract no matter what. I think someone like Elliot or Taylor would benefit more from the win because they might not otherwise get such an opportunity. As much as I like the styles of both Taylor and Chris, I still think Elliot is technically the best vocalist.

So, pardon the dangerous flirtation with blasphemy here, but does anybody actually agree with Simon that sometimes Taylor does look like he is a wedding or karaoke singer? I like him, but I agree with Simon regarding Jailhouse Rock-dreadul dancing and karaoke. He did nail In the Ghetto;made it his own. If Taylor IS to win, he needs to be less karaoke in my opinion and stop the dancing. I voted for Elliot tonight. He sang two risky as heck songs and nailed them. :clap_1:

Has Simon EVER seen karaoke? I've never seen anyone remotely as good as Taylor Hicks. Singing Karaoke that is.
