Evidently, Britain doesn't practice Freedom of Speech. And, their elections are far different from ours. They can decide today that they need an election and set it for two weeks out.....too bad if you aren't there or don't agree.....that's the way they do it.

Thank God I am an American!

Actually, that kind of election cycle doesn't sound too bad right about now!

While I don't listen to him regularly, most of what I hear fromSavage is hate-mongering. Intelligent people can tune him out, but it's the less intelligent, less informed people that the right is trying to influence. Their whole 2008 presidential campaign was an example of pandering to the lowest common denominator (Sarah Palin and the lipstick silliness) People like Rush and especially Savage do influence people and do foster hatred and intolerance. They have no desire to enter into intellectual debate. They only want to sell themselves for better ratings.

Right wingers for Dummies????

Is that what you're saying?

I think the desire for debate is there...The only problem is that when the right disagrees with the left, they're hate mongers and get attacked...when the left disagrees with the right, they are sympathetic and standing up for the little guy.
I think really political, intellectual debate is an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp...

Yes, it all boils down to kneejerk right vs. left - has nothing to do w/ my personal distaste for someone advocating hanging members of a religious group from lampposts w/ their entrails hanging out.

I love talk radio but he was virtually unlistenable. Does anyone remember...I think he actually had a talk show on MSNBC some time ago (might have the wrong network). Boy, did things change or what?
