 Great question, TN Jed, why would anybody argue about wanting to clean up our environment? :whack: :nono1: How does it serve anyone?

After all cleanliness is next to Godliness. :D ( I swear the nun 'tar made me say that...)

Who advocated trashing the environment and not weaning ourselves from nonrenewable energy? The loyal opposition's concern is signing on to the Kyoto Protocol (a HUGE commitment) at the prompting of junk-science induced hysteria. Now excuse me while I go find some aluminum cans to crunch flat (my favorite liberal can attest I am a recycling machine:cool: ).

Yes, there is a hypothesis regarding solar flares and that we are currently being bombarded by higher than normal amounts of solar radiation, which would explain why the Martian ice caps are concurrently melting. William Gray of Colorado State (the hurricane forecast guru) thinks we are experiencing a warming trend due to deep ocean current changes (I don't fully understand it, but he says it is a natural cycle and has nothing to do with CO2 or dolphin unfriendly tuna fishing). I don't know why the ice would go away forever once the warming phase is over.
William Gray called for 17 named storms in the Atlantic basin for 2006. He doesn't have a clue in his own field of expertise, much less predicting global warming.

I would bet that the 17 named storms that Gray called for was used as fodder for the global warmalarmists too.

Bingo. But Bob is right, William Gray really has no freaking clue what he is talking about. Maybe Gray would be able to make more intelligent forecasts if his grants did not mysteriously dry up after 1992 and reappear many years later. Silence is golden, perhaps? Better to go over a cliff with a divinity school flunkie than a climatologist I always say:lol:

That divinity school flunkie is a Harvard grad. And he likes Fleetwood Mac!
