Ate takeout once. Mr. K lost his wallet in the parking lot and we never went back...except to look for the wallet.

me either, but many people seem to like it. Maybe it is because they are one of the few places where you can take kids and meals are not $30 per entree.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. The calzones are hit and miss, but are great when they're good. The rest of the food is pretty bland in my opinion. Especially those garlic/bread sticks! They look colorful and packed full of flavor, but my eyes always fool my taste buds. I've had wheat bread pack more of a punch.
Location and price are the only pluses in my book, but apparently that's enough. I can't blame them for making money with what works for them, but I think that kitchen is on auto-pilot.
Nice to hear I wasn't the only one that didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else. The pizza was good, but I made a mistake and ordered a pasta w/ alfredo sauce. I only managed two bites. It tasted quite strange, I asked the waitress about it and she said they sometimes get that because they but nutmeg in the sauce. Not a chef, but never heard of that in Alfredo sauce.
But....pizza I would do, and yes, it is a major plus for those of us w/ multiple kids in tow.

I don't get it. Eaten there several times and never had a bad meal. It may not be Barago but how can you say the food is just bad
The nutmeg is what I love in their alfredo! I think it's a northern (New Jersey) thing - I think that's the only other place I have had alfredo with nutmeg. I also like a touch of cinnamon in red sauce. I used to "not get" Angelina's also, but now I really like it.
I've found that people either love or hate their food, very rarely is there middle ground. I think it is all what kind of Italian food you are used to. Good family dining option that doesn't break the bank or involve speaking into the clown's mouth, but too starchy/greasy for me!
I never said the food is bad, but I am not fond of paying money for mediocre food. I can cook better than average food at home and I enjoy doing so. (not all people are capable or want to cook at home). I would rather cook for ten people than go out and dine and have an average experience with not so great service.I don't get it. Yeah, I wouldn't call the food bad either, just not worth high praise IMO. For the best Italian food around I would recommend Gugliamos on 98. That's really good Italian cuisine.
