We're thinking about going to Pensacola for Saturday's show. Any tips from those who have been before?

Specifically...

-The BA web site shows the show starting at 9:45AM. I'd guess this is the time for the preliminary air show. When do the Angels perform?

-How convenient is the parking to the spectating area?

-I'd guess we should take some beach chairs...

-Any sources of food and drink at the spectating area

-How bad is the traffic into the site? I'd normally leave for Pensacola maybe 2 hours ahead of expected arrival.

I am not sure where you are going to see them but I have seen them several times at Eglins Opens House. I would suggest lawn chairs as most of the action takes place above you and can be quite a strain on the neck.

They perform at NAS Pensacola tomorrow and Saturday.

I've done this show many times. They run it very well. Traffic has never been an issue. Parking is not very far from the show site...maybe a 10 minute walk.

I would suggest getting there early because they always have a great static display area set up. They haul a bunch of unique aircraft over from the museum.

There will be more food there than you can shake a stick at...typical food that you would find at a county fair or something of the sort. You can take chairs, but they have a bleacher section where you can buy a seat for 5 bucks that comes with in / out priviledges.

I have a tshirt that I bought for my son (he still has it:D) and we went around and got signatures from all the pilots and most of the crew. The highlight of the shirt tho is the signature from the first female Angel. Most of the guys seemed to be kinda embarrassed but more than happy to give autographs. They had an area set up after the show but the lines were long and it took forever for the Angels to get out to even start signing stuff, but since we got there around 10am every time we would see them out among the crowd we would get them to sign the shirt. You will be able to spot them very easily by the distinct uniforms.:D
