Male cats can still exhibit tomcat behavior even after neutering. We have a nine-year-old neutered male who still acts like he wants to spray. He gets up against objects and aims his quivering rear end towards them. Fortunately, nothing comes out. He also loves to get on blankets and other soft items, start making bread until it morphs into humping.

As others have said, your best bet is to go ahead and spay the female. However, I'm not sure it's a good idea to do this while she is in heat. I would let her current cycle run its course, then get her spayed.

I don't believe I've ever seen a cat hump anything. :lolabove:

But it sure is funny to see somebody with a dog attached to their leg. :rotfl: As long as it's not me..

Years ago, a friend of mine arrived home from work, and noticed that there was not any water in any toilet in the house. Completely dry. Later that evening, he went into the garage. His dog had access to the garage through the doggie door, and had somehow been able to reach a hanging country ham, and pretty much ate all of it, then sucked the water out of every toilet. I don't know how that dog survived that much salt- but it was a Lab- BIG surprise, huh?

Last week we had a Yorkie that bit into a Christmas light (and was OK). Except her owner was not- she was having a party and had to leave 30 women at her house while she brought the dog to the vet. I'm sure there will be lots of the usual chocolate eating, present shredding, etc. Just push everything back on your counters, and don't leave candy under the tree!
