I like the two former Alabama football players (grey team). I also like the two brothers (black team I think). They seem very motivated.

I like Caroline Rhea better than Alison Sweeney as the host. I just can't transport Sami from Day's of Our Lives out of Salem and into fat camp.

I find this statement, silly.
You find this statement what? And who are you calling silly? :D

Isn't it ridiculously unhealthy eating habits which contributed to there weight in the first place? Sometimes, you have to make the sacrifice of eating the the low cal foods to get to the desired weight. Their exercise routine seems to be the one thing that really changes from zero to 100 by going onto the show. IMO, exercise will play a more important role than choosing between a bleeched enriched flour tortilla and a corn tortilla, which has about 1/10 the calories. If they are exercising often, they will build muscle, which requires more calories than fat, but also burns more. Muscle also weighs more than fat, and that is the number one reason why I think the show, focusing on weight, gives people a bad goal -- weight loss, rather than fat loss. Muscle mass doesn't cause heart disease. Fat mass does.

I agree with everything you said. Especially about the bad goals--they don't take fat loss into account at all.

From what I read, they don't go from awful, excessive eating habits to what you call "the sacrifice of eating the low cal foods." They go from overeating to eating nearly nothing, which doesn't promote good eating habits. If you starve yourself, you tend to binge in weak moments and eat the stuff that tastes good. (And fat is not only tasty, it's filling!)

The only success I've ever had in losing is actually to eat 6 small meals a day. My sugar level doesn't crash during the day, and I'm never really hungry. My stomach gets used to the smaller portions, and it becomes difficult for me to eat a large meal without wanting to hurl.
