Careful, careful, it's only these tourists willing to pay the bubble real estate prices if a Seller is lucky. Like it or not, they dictated the prices on the way up and they'll set bottom in the market on the way down.

However I think a valuable point has been over looked in this discussion, does anyone really think that the tourist so many of your describe here, actually reads SoWal, I seriously doubt it.:dunno:

I doubt it too, but reading these stories does make those of us who do live here and drive 30A and other heavily tourist congested areas more aware of what can and does happen- I know that I am being even more careful than usual and looking all around me when driving. also drive through Seaside and Watercolor with my car windows down during tourist season, because eyes are just not enough.

Even if one lurker learns one thing about being safe in SoWal from these threads, that one thing could save a life.

I've gone to code red on the tourists.

20mph absolute tops thru Seaside and Watercolor and stop at any and all crosswalks. If they are within 5 feet of the road I slow to a crawl and wait for them to just dart into the road. It'll be over in a few months and we can move on to complain about snowbirds.
