At the feeder today

I ran out of bird seed today, and went to Publix to get some...they were all out. When I asked about it, the store person said it had all been recalled...
he didn't know what the problem was. Anyone heard anything?

My birds are going to be so upset tomorrow mornning!

FYI:

In the United States Scott's Miracle-Gro has recalled their Morning Song and
Country Pride bird feeding products. The products were treated with
pesticides and fungicides to reduce moth and fungus problems during storage,
the company says. These chemicals weren't approved by the US Environmental
Protection Agency for use in bird feed. The company's statement can be read
on their website: http://www.scotts.com . They downplay the risk, but the
fact that they have removed the products from their dealers' shelves
certainly raises red flags, not only about the products but also about the
company.

There are other stores that must carry other brands. Places like Home Depot, Ace and if you have to....Walmart.
I have som many birds out ther right now. Got three squirrels that come around and feed on the ground as well.
I have Towhee taken by a hawk about a week ago that I felt pretty bad about. Moved the feeder a bit closer to the bushes to give them a fighting chance. The hawks have to eat too.

And now I have two rabbits out in the yard with two squirrels. They are pretty uneasy with each other. They are feeding maybe 6 feet apart.
I gotta see if I can get a pic of this.

As of today, we have a hummingbird feeding at our hummingbird feeder on our balcony, just outside our living room window. It is really fun to watch and the other birds in our green area are really active. Our place is truly a birdwatcher's paradise.

If my zoom was working on my camera, I would have posted pics. I do need to find someone who can fiz a Nikon Coolpix P2 Digital camera.
