The original Vortex downtown was awesome! And, since they moved, I haven't been back - Little Five Vortex is great, though.

Marriott Marquis is still fabulous! I'd beware of the older boutique hotels that have been 'refurbished' - very thin walls.

What's the concert?

The Vortex on Peach in Midtown is great. Love the bison burgers. We go pretty often because it's a short walk from where our daughter and SIL live. Huge portions. Our son-in-law is thin, yet he eats an amazing amount of food. But when they go there, they split an order.

I believe the concert is at Philips.

Try the Ellis - it's at the corner of P'tree and Ellis across the street from the Ritz. Recently renovated historic hotel near Peachtree Center. It's small, so it may be booked already also.

The Ellis is booked also, probably going to go with Westin, even though the reviews were very mixed as everything downtown is booked.
