Florida State University and the University of Alabama have announced formally today that they will play a neutral site football game on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Jacksonville, Florida.

With the cooperation of ESPN/ABC, CBS, the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference, television rights issues have been resolved and the one-time neutral site game will be played. The game will be televised by either CBS or ESPN. That decision will be made two weeks prior to the game.

That could be a fun trip to J-Ville. It's in 2 years...so I should be flying private by then.

OK, by now everyone knows I'm an Alabama fan. But, my first football game was Auburn vs. Florida State (in Auburn). It was incredible. Auburn won 20-17.

I think it will be a great game and look forward to seeing (or going). Roll Tide!
