Oh, never! They all pretty much get what they want at "Nay's" house! My son just shakes his head....and silently cusses me! :dunno:

it's the same with my sis and my mom. she says it takes 3 days to get my nephew back on the straight and narrow after he spends time with mom. and please explain to me why when we were kids, we couldn't have one of the big elaborate swingsets with the wood house on top, etc - "it will be too dam* hard to mow around". guess what the boy got for grandma's - a big elaborate swingset.

Of course he did!! I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that in my case, I was a single mom most of the time to my kids. I didn't have a lot of extra money for funn stuff. Now that I can afford it (well, most of it), I just think they gotta have it! Besides, it's funn seeing their faces when they get something they've been wishing for. AND, it's funn sending them home when they are honery! :D :D

She's indeed a cutie. They do grow up so fast! And she does have great hair. One of our kids was still pretty bald at 1 year old but now has a healthy head of hair.

Gee thanks, y'all! She has three older sisters and they all have lots of hair! Guess it's their Mexican, ur, Hispanic, uh, Latino heritage! Their mother's side.

i think you are right about the money stuff - i know mom and pop worked very hard for the house they built and they were all about putting money back for college etc. i just find it very funny that the things we couldn't have (and man did they have an excuse for everything) the grandson gets. we accuse them of favoritism all the time ;-)

every time i start getting on my mom about liking my nephew better, she says "i don't want to hear it - who started a college fund for him?" that would be me. i love him to pieces !! i can totally understand how she wants to spoil him rotten...it's a good thing i don't have kids.
