AWAKEN YOUR LIFE

Walton County, Florida? (January 20, 2008)--?In the center of the body there burns a great fire, bright as molten gold.? Awaken Your Life is a meditative gathering to realize the ultimate potential of your life by awakening this fire which lies dormant within you. This One Hand Clapping Production sponsored by Bud and Alley?s Restaurant, Gigi?s Fabulous Kids? Fashion and Toys, Sowal.com and DeGregorio Design will be held at Rosemary Beach in Walton County, Florida on Sunday, January 20th, 2008, from 8am-5pm. You will be guided through the gathering in a casual, light hearted-environment, so do not let a lack of experience with Yoga or meditation stop you from attending.

The heart of the gathering is a concise discussion by Don Daniels and Swami Jnaneshvara on practical methods to understand this enormous power. Don is an authority on the ancient yogic and meditation sciences as well as the psychology of personal achievement. Teacher, mental health therapist, counselor, seminar leader and monk, he has spent the last 30 years studying and applying himself to discovering, unleashing and teaching about the incredible power that exists inside each human being. Renowned teacher, Swami J provides spiritual counseling and teaches practical aspects of Meditation, Yoga, Vedanta, and internal Tantra from his home base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA, while holding in heart his spiritual home of Kalimath, Himalayas. Once the gathering is complete you will know how to:
 • Discover the vast potential within you
 • Learn practical methods to harness this potential
 • Apply this awakening to your everyday life
The other events within the gathering are designed to provide a relaxing and nourishing atmosphere so the inner journey can begin. The morning will begin with an organic breakfast provided by Summer Kitchen Cafe to nourish the body while getting to know the other people in the gathering. Phillip Ellis of One Hand Clapping will then introduce you to the outline for the day and guide you in clearly defining your reason for attending the event. The very vibrant Bridgette Lowe of Dancing with Life Yoga Studio will prepare your body and awaken your energy through a gentle Vinyasa Flow session. A revitalizing picnic lunch will be provided by Summer Kitchen Cafe, and participants will be encouraged to stroll the spectacular grounds of Rosemary Beach to reflect on the morning session. You will find a new source of inspiration as we begin the afternoon session with world-class musician James Wiesnewski. This incredible day will then come to a close as we enjoy one of the area?s famous sunsets.

Thanks, Kurt. I appreciate all of your support. Here are a few answers to some of the common questions being asked about this event:

1. We are not doing yoga postures all day long. The only time we will be doing postures is in the morning session with Bridgette. The session will be a very gentle session that will last an hour.

2. You do not need any experience with meditation or yoga. This event is designed to walk you through these practical techniques in a casual, light hearted-environment.

3. There is always difficulty in defining any event into a "catchphrase" that can be marketed. My initial attempt is to define it as a meditative gathering which may attract some and not speak to others. To provide further definition these events are simply meant to teach the participants how to look inward for the answers to life's questions. You will be taught time-tested techniques to positively impact your life by beginning to truly know yourself. These events will allow you to meet a variety of teachers within this area to see if their message and personality resonates with you.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
I'd go if I was in the area. I went to a mindfulness yoga session this year on a Friday night (3 hrs) and Sat morning (3 hours). About half of it was discussing meditation and practicing it. What I most enjoyed was learning a new perspective about life (e.g., mindfulness, Buddhism, let it go) and practicing meditation (still don't do it but I do remind myself to calm down when I'm feeling stressed). I'd go back again if it was offered. I loved getting a different perspective on life - I think our Western beliefs are handy in some situations and not in others.
