Working at home I've started watching the cable news networks and some things will just totally derail a productive day. I was glued to the tv, jaw agape, when this was put up on the screen. This is a real book that can be purchased.

Sweet lord! :yikes:

From the website:

Why bother writing a book about marijuana for kids? Marijuana is around kids! Some children are trying their first "hit" of marijuana at ten and eleven years old, and awareness of the plant begins even earlier for many (whether through its heavy presence in pop culture or by simply opening their parent's door during "bedtime"). We think there is a way to safely educate children about drugs by satisfying their curiosity but without piquing their curiosity to try them.

I don't care WHAT they are smoking (tobacco, Mj, etc.) 10-11 is WAY too young!

I get a big kick out of what people who use mind-altering substances say to justify the use of mind-altering substances.

Well it is just a plant, created by God, and found on the planet. Why should a living thing be stigmatized by mere human beings and be considered against the "law'----whose law(s)? Not the law of the natural Universe.? I think it goes far in the in the cause of accepting things in this world first as they are, complete and whole, with a purpose unto itself....

...beside I think one of my 2 avatars actually" inhaled" it.

Just because something is a plant or natural doesn't mean it's safe or won't hurt you. Some of the most lethal poisons in the world are "natural."

Don't MAKE me disagree with you Scooterbug :D, but that is precisely my point! I am talking about acceptance for it's sheer existence, in space and time. After all, poppies were here before we were here, it did not become herion by itself!

I don't have a problem w/ the mere existence of cannabis (actually wish we would use it more instead of petroleum products) but of how people misuse it.

A 10 year old toking up :bang:.

Ok. It is ok to get mad at other people (irresponsible parents, 10 years olds), but don't be mad at the marijuana or poppy plant!

I was in horticulture for way too long and have been angry at a lot of plants that were doing nothing more than just being plants.

There was the rose that gave me cellulitis, the yucca plant that cut the @#$%! out of me, the pyracantha that helped me understand why it is called "firethorn," numerous greenbriars, the dead dogwood that fell the wrong way and nearly freakin' killed me, the patches of juniper that housed black widows, mosquitoes, yellow jackets, and snakes (and, on top of that, made me itch all by themselves,) and the inevitable poison oak and ivy. This is by no means an exhaustive list, just the "Most Unwanted."

I have a stack of books that tell me that they're "just plants," but I really just had to observe each of those little bat-turds once in its natural habitat to know to leave them the heck alone.

Likewise, I know that rosemary makes my hands smell good when I touch it and lettuce is nice with some dressing. Neither alter my mental state whatsoever. I can drive with rosemary on my hands and a salad in my bloodstream.

Does all of this really need to be explained? :bang::bang::bang: Drugs are for losers. (Where the @#$! is my Xanax...I'm tired of arguing about this...:D)
