I can't believe you said that!!! When my parents moved us all to New Hampshire the house next door was still being built. We stole so much "leftover" stuff from the construction site that the contractor came over one night to complain to my mother, who promptly made us return every brick and board we pilfered. I was so mad!!! We had the best fort ever and we had to dismantle it. :sosad:

We were selective. Construction lot pilfering has to be done carefully. Weekends and late night are the best times to make raids. Don't take parts that are attached to the building. Try to go for the dumpster, nobody ever complained of someone taking something out of the construction dumpster, they're charged by the weight. Distance is your friend. We would sometimes go 2-3 miles to find stuff. The remnants of our fort lasted until 2006 when the lot was bulldozed and they built a house.
