BR, I'm with you on the house at the beach being much more relaxing....except, my master bedroom closet, spring break trip in a couple of weeks I AM cleaning out and getting more organized.

My house here in the 'Ham is another story, I moved from my former house that was much larger and tried to put it all in smaller house. My house is always "picked up" but don't open the closets! I purge twice a year and donate things to our local Hannah Home, they will come by and pick it up, I just leave it all on the front porch. Let's not discuss FFF's tv room, ugh! I really need to clean out the basement too, it holds the cars and tons of other stuff FFF moved in here when he moved in.

My problem is we work a lot, travel a lot and are never home. So, who has time to clean out stuff. My house keeper walked in the front door the first day and said "I don't do windows, I don't do laundry, I don't clean out refrigerators or make beds." I started to say "Just what the puck do you do? Might I say I have clean floors, bathrooms and baseboards? :dunno:

OH, I gave up on houseplants long ago.

:lolabove:...kick him to the curb and throw all his sheet out on the lawn. It's a start!

I started by not finding a Mr. NoHall. Best habit I ever cultivated! (I can't imagine dealing with someone else's sheet right now!)

Y'all have nothing on me. Here is a partial list of the crap I deal with...all belonging to "other people". Please provide the sympathy I so desperately seek. :D

First of all, every flat surface IN THIS HOUSE is covered with mr. dd's papers. Work papers, bills, insurance policies, old bank statements, etc. This is particularly distressing to me because some of this crap is ALWAYS on my breakfast room table. Always. Then, if I move it to actually eat a meal there, he gets pissed. When I tried to eek out a little space on my craft table to produce some works of art, he got pissed. Now, it is once again covered with the above.

Then, there's the golf crap. In the garage, in the computer room, hanging on the walls, in every bookshelf.

Then, there's kid crap. Big kid crap and little kid crap. Stuff the big kids "store" here, stuff the little kids play with.

Then, there's all Mr. DD's wires. Lord help me. Wires from every electronic device. Tons of them. Everywhere.

Don't even get me started on the remotes.

DD wins.

BB...unless the pinball machine is stacked with sheet, I don't get the point. :D

Oh, my cod! This thread is so cathartic (in the emotional sense). I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!

Good suggestion, MK. I need Mermy to visit. We need all of this sheet cleaned up before the wedding since the reception will be here! But first I need to clean up so I won't be embarrassed too much, now that I have outed myself.:rotfl:

DD and BB, I'm with ya!

NoHall, honey, do you feel better now?

Ye are not alone! :lolabove:
I still have notebooks from college, term papers, newspapers, toys, books I've read, books I haven't read, toys, kids books, pictures, dishes I don't use, food I won't eat, MRE's in case of emergency, toys, clothes I don't wear, clothes my kids don't wear, clothes my husband doesn't wear, shoes I never wear, makeup I never wear, did I mention toys. :bang:

I did clear out some clothes this morning and took to the benefit for the homeless at Gulfplace. 5 bags and it doesn't look any leaner in the drawers or the closet.

Glad to know there are others out there in the same mess I'm in.

DD darling, you have to do like I do, I only let FFF have one room for his "crap", that's the tv room I refuse to pick up.

DON'T! get me started on his remote crap. Perfect example, did y'all know for Christmas one of MY presents was a new PS3 (orwhatthehelleveritscalled) with the blue ray technology? Please, keep in mind I don't play games. Well night before last FFF comes home with a new DVD player, I ask "Can't you play DVD's on that new PS3thingymabob, he looks at me as if I have lost my mind. PLUS! For my birthday (which is over 4 months away) he tells me he got me a new surround sound, I asked what's wrong with the old one, he looks at me again as if I have lost my mind. SO, I'm not speaking to him and he starts showing me this box that goes with new surround says and says "You can take this upstairs and put it anywhere and play whatever we are playing downstairs on the ipod attachment......I give him that look (you girls know the look) and say "Or, I could just turn on the stereo upstairs.

DD wins.

Thank you. :rotfl::rotfl:

The point is if he does not get rid of some of his crap, I'm gonna sit his sheeet on the street for Hannah Home to pick up. :D
