I am very thankful for the grace, dignity and stability President Obama has given during his time in office. He'll be missed by millions across the country and world.

For many like me, his time in office was such a relief after Bush and his administration. He has brought a stability and steadiness that the country needed.

And now Obama is followed by someone so vulgar (not to mention mentally unfit) he makes me long for Bush who was at least a decent human being. Lol.

Trump is going to give a tiny middle finger to the whole country by breaking protocol every step of the way and making corruption the norm. And he will do so brazenly which to some equates to strength. But it's quite the opposite. It's weakness based on daily tweets and falsehoods, lack of deas, conviction and morals, good or bad. He's not really evil. He's just completely devoid of character. He enjoys pushing fear but I'm not buying any of it. Let's watch the scandals and drama unfold shall we? Going to be an interesting four years to say the least. I don't want to watch the shitshow but I think it's mandatory.

Yes. Obama will be missed even by those who don't know it yet.

Are you guys serious? Obama and foreign relations? You are making this guy out to be Lincoln. Really?
You're reaching. They are saying he is a kind, decent, thoughtful human being unlike the self centered a-hole Trump.

I guess you supported Bush/Cheney’s foreign policy and look forward to the ‘wait and see’ of Trump’s.

Not a chance, Iraq was a farce. Obama's foreign policy was wishy washy at best. Lots of talk and no action. The middle east is a mess, I know, I know, he didn't start it, but there was several opportunities to stop ISIS and the uprising in Syria and he did nothing.

Are you suggesting that Obama should have invaded Syria with ground troops? Please elaborate on what Obama should have done. Re-invade Iraq? Details please.

In fairness, had those countries in the middle east been capable or taken the lead on ISIS this would never been our country's issue.

That's correct. The Bush administration made the serious mistake of disbanding the Iraqi army, many of whom morphed into ISIS.

What should President Obama have done differently in the Middle East? In context of the Republican Congress he had to work with who took the opposite of his approach at every turn. Even it went against any doctrine or previous view they may have had. With a war weary nation in mind. I have not agreed with all of Obama’s decisions in the Middle East, an example being the drone attacks. However I do know like the Great Recession he inherited, in lesser hands our country and world would be in a much worse place than it is right now. That’s why I shudder at the thought of a Trump presidency.

What do you think is Obama's legacy?
