Here's Eastern Lake meandering far west in around 1990. It too has cut much further west.

Oyster Lake outfall has been going quite a ways to the West too. Has the one home surrounded on two sides. They essentially have no beach right now.

SJ, I was wondering about who would move the fencing. I don't think it belongs and I'm willing to cross where ever it happens to wonder. I worry about peeps taking a fall because the fence doesn't allow them much of an option for safe passage.

Of course, by the time I get there this afternoon, it may all be a moot point.

The fencing that is there is called "dune fencing" It is put in place to catch sand and is a support structure to form dunes. It has been used in this area successfully for decades. Wind blows the sand against it and over time the sand piles up and forms a dune.

The fencing that is there is called "I think I can win over Ma nature cheap arse fencing."

It needs to be removed so that the outfall can continue to meander as the elements dictate.

P.S. The nearby neighbors need to turn off their freaking 23 dock lights that blot out the lovely night sky.

That fencing is not standing in the way of anything. Water goes where it wants.
