Never polish fingernails and toenails late at night and then fall asleep.

I was up until nearly 1 this morning because I was painting mine and letting them dry...

There is a fabulous drying solution made by Essie--you can usually get it at Walmart, or Target, or Sally Beauty (whichever's closest to you)... Comes in a little clear bottle with a white, eyedropper cap. Just a couple of drops on freshly painted nails, and they'll dry quickly and set faster and harder than just waiting for them to dry on their own...

Great stuff!

(Oh, and BTW, Essie's color "Geranium" is a super-fab bright red-orange that's making me smile every time I look down at my nails... :D)

DD, I think we need some photographic documentation, just to be sure that we all see what NOT to do...:wave:

Dang, I shoulda thought of that. It's already fixed. But, since i never remember my own beauty tips, you can be sure it'll happen again.

You just fell asleep wrong - I always do my nails late at night, then take off the extra with a damp washcloth in the shower the next morning.

As long as you fall asleep properly so you don't get sheet lines, it's a great system.

P.S. if you do, a quick coat of "topcoat" fixes those lines.

 Scooty, I will try to remember to fall asleep properly from now on.
Oh yeah, I had big old sheet lines, prints and all the shine was so gone. It took a couple of topcoats.
