Blue Orleans!!!!
We went tonight, it was like a transporter to another place/time/dimension. Abita beer three ways.... Good enough for many to stick around right there! I had an oyster po-boy, and lemee tell you, one whiff and I knew this was the real deal...oysters breaded with cornmeal, hot outta the grease, dressed and served on Gambino's French bread...are you KIDDING ME! Oh wait, on the side I had a cup of Blue Runner red beans and rice with a homemade touch Early in the meal I found out coonass was from Chackbay (what, never heard of it? ), and we talked a good long while after I threw out the name of his hometown's most famous son. What an interesting guy. So anyway, after dinner they brought me the check, and good old coonass was kind enough to send out an order of beignets on the house, just as good as any I have ever had Coonass, you are the best, may you prosper, and know that we will be back many times over!
