Los Angeles is a great city for young singles. The women have to move away when they are over 29, however. And the men are usually grazing like they are at a buffet. Best bet...meet a midwesterner who moved to L.A. for the weather! You will have a good man in a fun environment.
Denver is a fabulous city for single people and the values are still decent. The demographics are conducive to meeting someone nice, but you had better like sports bars and skiing. Get used to wearing down parkas, Pendleton shirts, and hiking boots to the office.
Pensacola, FL is a fabulous place to meet men if you go to those tea dances they have for the Naval Officer Cadets out at Mainside Officers Club. The guys are well educated and fun (they have to be smart to get into the flight program) and you can meet people from all over the world. Watch out for the married ones. I think this gig was spoiled for a few years after "An Officer and a Gentleman" came out. I cringe when it comes on the old movie channels. Oh, yeah, don't make the mistake I did. This really sophisticated officer took me out to dinner at that Club and I turned out in a Villager skirt and cardigan (monogrammed, of course), an Oxford shirt, Bass Weejuns and matching kneesocks! Every girl or woman in that Club was wearing a sparkly cocktail dress and sporting cleavage. I felt like a fool, but my date said he wanted to go out with a college girl, not a cocktail waitress. Nice guy.
Alaska is perhaps your best bet if you really want to get married. The ratio of men to women is ridiculous. I knew a woman from Scottsdale who was a bush pilot in Alaska. She was an ordinary woman with an extraordinary social life. She was married three times while living in Alaska.

(Maybe not the best place, upon reflection. She also became an alcoholic while living there.)
No matter where you live, pester your friends to fix you up with single men they know. Even if you don't like the initial hook-up, ladies....these men
also have friends!
