I'm surprised nobody's said Longhorn. I've been eating at Longhorn for 20+ years, and they always get my steak perfect every time (with no sneers because I like it well, no pink, but still juicy). Love the Flo's Filet - comes with basic but tasty house salad, hot, crusty bread with softened butter, perfect steak with choice of side (baked sweet potato and broccoli and the classic baked potato are my faves), all for under $20. TVs at the bar, good house Margaritas, decent beer list. Haven't posted in quite some time but am passionate about my love for Longhorn and wish it were on 30A instead of Pier Park or Destin.

Mitchells Seafood Market, the Rib Eye is awesome and priced about 24 bucks including potato and Asparagus. Rate it better than Segars and Flemings

Come on now, really....Longhorn and Outback.....you can get that average chain food anywhere in the country. Pay a little more and enjoy a better tasting quality steak. Might as well add Waffle House. Their T-Bone is about the same quality and is even better priced. And there is now one a little closer to 30A

But my best bet now is the Strip Steak on the BREAKFAST menu at FIRE.....You can't go wrong. All of the food at FIRE is awesome.

We like to cook our own, restaurant style. We call it 5-5-5.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees (ours already is because we've baked the potaoes first).
Season 1.5"-2" tenderloins with salt, pepper, and olive oil, and sear on high in a heated pan for 5 minutes.
Place tenderloins in the oven for 5 minutes.
Let them rest for 5 minutes.

If you like medium rare, it's 5-6-5.

Of course, it depends on the thickness of the steak.

Get a bag salad. That's the best and cheapest steak dinner anywhere.

This is tangential, but the best steaks ever are at Parker's in Geelong, AU. $50 for an Angus filet (they spell it "fillet") without any sides. Worth the money. We went twice when we were there in July.

The best steak is a thick NY strip purchased at a local grocery store. Marinate or season while the grill is getting ready, then sear to medium rare and serve with red wine, grilled vegetables or salad, and a view of a sowal sunset.
Can't be beat for price, flavor, or ambiance!
