Big Daddy's Bike Shop rents a bicycle with really wide tires, for riding on sand. It looks cool too.

If you go biking on the beach, Please oh PLEASE let me know when you'll be doing it. I love to watch others suffer :D
Jeez, because of the lack of rain, the sand is so soft that a workout walk on the beach is a *major* workout. Can't imagine biking on it. Even the sheriff's trucks are having trouble. One passed me on Thursday on Seagrove Beach slippin', slidin', and squeakin' in that soft sand.

Check out the Florida trail reviews on mtb.com. Good Ohio mountain biker on an excellent full suspension bike advises you leave the bike at home. It would be bad enough by yourself on dedicated trails that are barely rideable; why add looking like a fool to it by trying it at the beach?

Do not leave your bike home! The long leaf pine trail is some nice singletrack through the coastal forest. It is soft due to being long time dry, but a fun ride. Big daddy's rents the pugsly with tires so wide the rear triangle is offset. ride at low tide. Ride don't drive!
