You're right. Maybe his model girl friends are a trainwreck. The O'Reilly example I threw out there referenced the way he points out the hypocrisy of political life while his personal life is chaotic...a la O'Reilly. The good side of Maher is that he isn't afraid to expose the truth. He was spot on in his remarks about 9/11. It got him fired by ABC. He's right about the oil industry, and the lies being told about terrorism.http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1111041coco1.html
I have watched the first 6-7 minutes until I was interrupted but knowing the fact that I like Maher I am pretty sure I will enjoy the laughs! One funny thing he has already said that I also believe to be true is that he accuses America of having F--K-UP fatigue!! Scandals and the too many to count and always increasing f--k ups by our glorious commander in chief now leave us weary and drained because we have become so accustomed to it!!
I used to sporadically watch Politically Incorrect and like you, remember his getting fired by ABC after the comments he made after 911 - he was accused of being unpatriotic and actually DARED (oh ah!!!!) dared to ask (amongst other things!) what the US would do about Saudi and its terrorist madrasas and actually questioned the US's foreign policy blunders in the mid-east.
Anyways I look forward to catching the rest of the show when my girls are zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
