Oh DA I am so sorry about your mom. I'm sure you made her smile often. I hope your memories of her make you smile as well.

I've never explained my siggy line, and now seems to be the time.
Jayne Burns was a dear lady who befriended me when I moved back to Gainesville 10 years ago. When I met her, she was a recent breast cancer survivor. She left Gainesville a couple of years later, and about 3 years ago the cancer returned.
At her memorial service, one of her friends said that even after she got sick she would often say, "Life doesn't get any better than this." It was an acknowledgment of all the blessings that she had in life. But what we have may be as good as it gets, and it is not to be taken lightly. She believed that there is more to life that what we have here, but understood that even all tears are valuable. We don't cry over the loss of something that doesn't matter.
It's short, and incredibly precious. Life doesn't get any better than this. I'm grateful to spend it with people who take the living of it seriously.

Your momma may be closer to you now then she ever was. Listen for her and take time to go through the grieving process.
We will talk soon hopefully over lunch!;-)
