Has anyone tried Skin-So-Soft as a repellent? It works great for other insects. I wonder if it will work for these pesky flies? Just in case I'm bringing my bottle of Heinz vinegar and a spray bottle. I would mix up the home brew found on this post but I am afriad of the reaction my grandbabies skin will have to the ammonia. See you wonderful folks tomorrow!

I know a couple of peeps that say the Skin So Soft helps protect against the Dog Flies. It is worth a try, but, personally, I think vinegar smells better.

From experience, vinegar works very good. So does the good ole leg slap.

Good shot, wintersbk!!! Man, if that vinegar solution worked on cellulite, (you can pretend it does!!!) what a best seller that would be!

The wind has been onshore the last 2 days so they haven't been on the beach. No wind down there today so I will find out soon if they are back. ;-)
