For all those looking to save a buck........

I have a friend that swears the deal with Wal-Mart black Friday is don't go for a cart. Head straight to the area for the thing you want. I have never done this type of shopping. I don't have the temperament for it.
I will admit, the Sears deal on the front loading washer and dryer at 50% off is good.
It's become a tradition to go out Black Friday with family and friends. We plot specifically where we are going and split up our lists. {Never go anywhere near Wal-Mart, seriously}
Here's the plan of attack:
-- Must wear a stupid Xmas sweater so you can easily ID one of your troops members from across the store /reindeer ears are an added plus with bells
-- If you are on the same plan, walkie talkie each other for new intel.
-- The night before, a corkboard with flight plan and mode of attack is essential.
-- Make sure you have enough air in your tires and enough cubic feet of room in your trunk. {one year my sister decided to buy 3 60 piece dish sets}
--Make sure you have the song "It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas in your CD collection specifically designed for the ride." We usually use the same CD with new songs added every now and then, but the above is a staple.
-- Have a taser available for the "what are you thinking purchases" -Remember, it's 4 am, you're wearing Xmas sweaters and tired from T-giving. So be judicious. Haven't had to use it yet.
-- Divi up hot cocoa, bagel and muffin assignments the night before. Have hot cups ready also. We stopped one year and lost valuable shopping time, not to mention it's war that morning in the bagel shoppe.
-- Last, but not least, take some pictures, and have fun!
We're still going out on BF this year, because we end up at Toys for Tots at finish, but in all honesty, with all the early bird specials going on, well, early this year, and on-line specials as well, we are almost done already. There's some things you can't wait for, like Bakugans -- the new kids marble craze-- that are selling out already.

But for the tire kicker stuff, I am waiting because retail sales are way down and I think BF they may be lower.
There's another site I like called slickdeals.net. They list some deals that are better than BF ones. Wilson's Suede and Leather had been having a 60% off sale on top of sales and I recently got a leather carry on with wheels for only $12. I also have been trying to buy locally. Ace really is the place and they are privately owned. I try to hit there first before going to Home Depot because I want to keep them around and the owner is a sweetheart -- and he has a cool dog that meets and greets.
