Turned out to be just a dusting here. But it was pretty when it was falling....what I saw of it. Kinda puts one in the Christmas spirit. :D

We had 2 1/2 inches of rain. Have had periodic rain and windy conditions tonight. Temp has dropped to 47. From the radar I have been watching it is going way north of here. Which is what I expected.

We're getting the very heavy, wet snow right now - about 5 " so far with lots of black ice, spin outs, etc. The DOT has pleaded for everyone to stay home.

But the schools are still open.

Mr. JR is out snowblowing the driveway so we can get the car out of the garage.

Still expecting a total of 12".

I agree about the antibiotic. My son was never on an antibiotic except for one time when he was in the 4th grade. I know some will not believe me but it's true. He's hardly ever sick & even if any of us are sick, we just don't take anything (except when I get a sinus infection). I realize we've been lucky. My husband has young nephews that are on the last level of antibiotics available that will work for them..

Yes, count your blessings. I was rarely on antibiotics as a child but after I had my first baby I started getting sinus infections. They would not go away w/out an antibiotic. I get at least 2 a year sometimes a lot more. And then poor Sam is another story. With her allergies and asthma, she gets sinus infections too. Believe me....if she didn't need the antibiotic I wouldn't give them to her. She had a great healthy year last year but this fall has been rough. Thankfully Dylan just has a grass and ragweed allergy and no asthma and has been on antibiotics just a handful of times.
