I'm guessing you don't do any shoveling or snow-blowing? :rotfl:
Well, me neither! No wonder we enjoy winter so much! :funn:I am soooooooooo excited! They've upped the amount to 6 - 12" now! Gotta go to Macy's & buy me some new snow boots this a.m.

JR - this does sound exciting. I would love to experience a cold winter with snow just one season. I have visited Chicago at Christmas (years ago with college buddies) and we had a blast in the snow. It didn't keep us home one minute. I remember wearing layers of clothes, going bobsledding, then to the bar. And wearing those huge leg warmers over the skinny jeans. I LOVE winter clothes, jeans, sweaters, jackets, boots...

it is hot as hell in sowal.

I'll try to take some pictures tonight for you, and of course, for RO.

:lolabove: I wish. I am Cammi sittin' today. Just got home from the peditricians ofc. He got 4 shots today. His 1 year old stuff and a flu shot. I may be swilling baby tylenol before this days over!

my sis and i were discussing this very subject last night - both kids have dr appt. 12/8 and both kids get 4 shots this time....do you all have to vaccinate against chicken pox ? they do here and i just think that is the silliest thing - a good case of chicken pox never hurt anybody - they'll just itch like hell. i'm kinda leery of all these vaccines they come out with.

Chicken pox can be pretty dangerous for some children. My neighbor across the street had a severe case. She was a mess and really miserable. Sam got them when she was 16 months old and it wasn't too bad. She was so young and didn't even know to scratch. I kept her in an oatmeal bath for 2 days. :)
Dylan had the vaccine at 18 months and still got the chicken pox last February albeit a mild case. I think they do need a booster though and they haven't recommended one yet. I was never crazy about the kids getting multiple shots at once.

It isn't the childhood chicken pox that is so bad;varicella can give older folks a heck of a nasty respiratory infection and zoster (shingles) is a truly miserable condition. There really isn't a conspiracy.:clap_1:

L'il Pea #3 got the vaccination as a baby and then last year (age 6) got the pox. :bang:

everything's a conspiracy - didn't you know ? i still think it's best to let nature take its course and get over these things on your own. just a personal thing, nothing against anyone who wants to be vaccinated. it's kinda like the antibiotic debate, i don't take them, rarely get sick. it seems like anyone who takes a lot of them is more susceptible to illnesses. again - just one woman's opinion.

Anyone got any significant accumulation yet? Looks like Memphis is going to be spared yet again. The temps managed to drop only to 50 degrees and now they have gone back up to in the 60's. Somehow the warmer air is managing to hold the cold front off from making it's way in here. At 5:00 it was right over us but was stalled and has not been able to make it's way in here. Just means rain for us I guess. Too early to expect anything like that here anyway. We usually see ours in January and February, if we get any. Hope those that are around the Central states and the Midwest will post their pics on here of the snow so we can enjoy viewing someone else's snow.

I agree about the antibiotic. My son was never on an antibiotic except for one time when he was in the 4th grade. I know some will not believe me but it's true. He's hardly ever sick & even if any of us are sick, we just don't take anything (except when I get a sinus infection). I realize we've been lucky. My husband has young nephews that are on the last level of antibiotics available that will work for them..
