I've read about the availability of these blue recycling bags at Publix and know they will be picked up curbside with normal trash pickup, but can somebody explain the essential details?
I assume we separate cans, plastics and glass into different blue bags. Is this right or do we just lump all recyclables together in the same bag? If we do separate them, are there limits to specific types? I've always heard you can't recycle materials soiled by food. Can we rinse glass and cans free of food first or what?
Lots of questions obviously, but I want to do my part the right way!
OH, and paper! What about paper? That's such a generic word in terms of recycling and have always wondered what is meant by it. Any and all paper or just newspapers?
Thanks for any input!
