Do I need to take her to a dr?

Last weekend she bought a steamer, now she's boiling eggs.

I am worried. Did she catch something?

I think the Red Tide is changing her personality. :D

Thanks for the recipe - I didn't know the exact times for boiling eggs either (knew it wasn't hours), but I'd have boiled a couple minutes longer.

How long for a soft boiled egg?
For soft boiled eggs increase boil time to about 5-7 minutes but dont cover and let sit.

By the way FFF... If I was BB and you were taking my kitchen secrets to the internet I'd be tempted to throw eggs at you, not boil them.

Be careful she doesn't share some info with us about you. :D

Oh we are short staffed today, and since she is having to work two jobs on the front desk......well I am safe for the next 6-7 hours. Give's me a lot of time to get out of the line of fire. :rotfl:

All over the place
Let the eggs warm up slowly to room (or tap water) temperature before you turn on the heat. Keeps the shells from cracking (Most of the time anyway).

Also, too fresh eggs don't boil as well as those that are a few days old. Kind of like too fresh bread does not make as good toast as slightly older bread does.

Why is that?:dunno:

ok, this reminds me of the time someone told me how to cook fried rice... I had the eggs ready, sauce, chopped carrots, all to make the fried rice like in the japanesse restaurants.. So I put butter in the pan and heated up up and pour my uncooked rice in the pan, man it started to get burned and smell.. could not figure out what I did wrong.... tried it a 2nd time... later found out the problem...well the person did not tell me that I had to COOK the first. :bang::rotfl:

Funny! When I first got married someone gave me a "basics" cookbook. It was full of the helpful basics of cooking. Almost a "Cooking for Dummies" if you will. Everyone needs it, we don't just pop out ready to cook like the Pillsbury Doughboy. Burn and learn my daddy used to say.
