Watercolor Amenities

While Watercolor is a wonderful location, think long-term. The beach, and related amenities that St. Joe built is already overwhelmed in the summer months, even though the overall development is well less than 50% completed. What's going to happen when all the houses are built, and you want to go to the beach, or the pool attached to the Watercolor Inn? St. Joe's amenity package is way to small to handle the envisioned development of the property.

:lolabove:There are more pools in the community and more are planned and the beach front area is fine.

We love Watercolor as well and are planning on purchasing a lot and building if all goes our way. We think you can get more bang for your buck with building, but certainly more hassle (it's worth it to us). However, we have watched Watercolor get busier and busier over the years and are aware of both parking issues around the homes and the large summer crowds at the beach club. We see it as a potential problem as the community is built out. But because it is not a sure thing how the community will be once completed, we LOVE it now and are planning on taking advantage of it while the getting is good. It's taken 9 or so years to get built this far, so we think we have time (and yes we are aware there are build out dates on the lots). If in seven to ten years it's no longer for us, we'll sell and go somewhere else on 30-A. Meanwhile, I say enjoy the beauty of Watercolor and 30-A and congrats on your decision! P.S. I've heard the dragonfly pool is one of the best because it's quiet.
