Hi, people of sowalton,
My first time to do this...I've been reading and reading on fishing in Grayton Beach area, surf fishing, etc... I'm driving in tomorrow from Denham Springs, LA w/ kids/friends for a week vacation and learn about salt water fishing...Kids and I are so excited. I didn't see anything on the internet w/ information on fishing results in Camp Creek Lake. We've stayed right near Eastern Lake before twice in the past. I just love the inlets of the coastal dune lakes! Perfect for kids. Never have I surf fished before, but I have the pvc pipe cut and ready. Got some tackle...tho I don't know wth I'm doing. Just need the liscense and some live bait and we'll be set. Questions are: More productive to fish in the lake or do I go straight to surf? And if I plan on crabbing w/ the kids, what type of bait to put in the nets (the simple and cheap kind) and how long to let the nets sit. Is crabbing at night or day better?
