Im here to tell you, firsthand, that this carpet cleaner --invented by Mr. Beach Runner himself -- really, really works. I had stains that no one could get out from those teenager's food fights last spring break. Two pro steam cleaners couldnt get them out. I came down here to SoWal this week partly to arrange for installation of a replacement carpet. (That I really can't afford right now.) BR, you guys saved my you-know-what! Sorry renters, no new carpet for you this year! The only thing is, like BR says, you have to watch out because it will make the stained area cleaner than the rest of the rug. Better than looking at a year old patch of Mad Dog 20/20 though. BR, tell your man thanks for me, ok?

 That is so cool KB and BR! I bet the lighter areas will even out in a short time. I've had that happen once or twice when I spot treated and soon you couldn't tell the difference.

I agree! I've been using Capture for years. It's awesome the way it works!

Is it a machine or something you spray on the carpet? I have a two year old. You know I need this stuff.

It is a mist and dry cleaner that you sprinkle on and brush into the nap - it works great!!!! I also put off getting new carpet down there after using it!!!!

You can buy it at Home Depot :clap_1: :clap_1:

It also says it's non-toxic and safer for pets and children than other cleaners. And basically you just vacuum up the powder after 30 minutes. You have to wonder how it works.

Thanks! That's great to hear. I'll tell my husband.

BTW he just applied for another patent that should be worth a kajillion dollars and have as big of an impact. I don't remember how many patents he has - I've lost track. I think it's unusual for a corporate executive of his age to still be inventing things and running circles around the young Ph.D.'s in chemistry and engineering. He just thinks these things up in his spare time because his job is to be an executive, not a hands-on engineer.

I know when he comes up with a new idea. He normally sleeps like a log, but when he invents something, he's very restless, gets up at daybreak, and writes down his ideas. With this last patent, he couldn't wait until daybreak - he was up in the middle of the night documenting his thoughts.

Maybe that's what SS is actually doing at daybreak too! Simply "documenting her thoughts".
