We all know Sheryl Crow and Karl Rove own houses around here. We know that Jim Carrey has been here. Also James Carville. I've heard Julia Roberts has been seen in Seaside, and of course everybody says they have seen Tom Cruise, but really, who are the biggest confirmed celebrities to have graced our beaches?

Jack Nicholson in Seaside about 12 years ago. Kim Carnes...I think she comes down from TN every winter and stays a few months, or used to. I almost ran over Jimmy Buffet in Seaside, like a lot of tourists, he walked right out in front of my car and I had to slam on the brakes......that was a close call. He was cool as a cucumber.....waved and walked on.......that was probably 15-20 years ago.

Pauly Shore was here last year wasn't he, didn't he hang at the WC Starbuck's a bit? Word on the skreet is that Emeril enjoys the area from time to time also.

Of all the famous people or near famous that come in the store, I love Lori from Trading Spaces best! Well there is a Nashville song writer and his sweeet wife that are favorits too.

Fawning over the celebs is tacky. Even listing them like this is TMI, IMHO.

Leave 'em alone ... they get precious little private space as it is.
