I forgot what the original post was, already. Talk about a derailing!

I lost my grandfather to it and find NOTHING humorous about it.
have a glass of healthy red wine tonight and lighten up, because we are all next in line. i find the whole dance of life to be funny, the good with the bad. someone pulling those strings has a sick sense of humor.

You are by far from being the only voter who abhors negative, dirty and despicable ads. The unfortunate part of it is, they seem to work. They certainly do with me. The first candidate or their supporters, that issue a negative ad, automatically loses my vote. They are only full of half truths and are truly unnecessary as they insult the intelligence of the voter.

Agreed AA- with insertion of my personal caveat... ANY candidate or their supporters... etc, etc. .... LOSES my vote.

I was just thinking the same thing. Scott's ads in particular- vicious and distorted messages right out of the gate. I remember standing in front of the TV and laughing at a guy like Scott trying to make out someone to be a worse human than himself. Alex kept it classy until she didn't have a choice- dragged in the gutter. It seemed to be quite awhile into the campaign before she even mentioned Scott's name.

Sorry JD. I admire and respect YOU... but I'm not buyin' into that statement. Scott demonstrated his manure scum choices from the get-go and I actually thought I'd vote for Sink until she "buckled". Everybody always has choices... headfirst all the way into the proverbial ditch. As American citizens we are ALL "forced" into making headfirst-into-the-ditch choices every single day. I'd hoped Sink could gut it out like a true citizen... but she didn't... so she ended up losing my vote right along with Scott.

I have lost family members to it. I have no problem discussing the subject candidly.

...As have I & many others. The way you deal with 'it' is YOUR PERSONAL choice & RIGHT. And I Cheer You for your forevermore-personal-sunshine example! However... much as I delight in and appreciate you & your intelligence & wit... YOUR style is certainly not everyone's style and that does not make them & their's LESS and/or worthy of dismissive disdain.

The snippyness being displayed here lately is tacky and uncalled for. It's becoming boorish and trite in this forum.

A resounding SECOND to that SSB!
I'd already hit "multi-quote" numerous times when I came upon your succinct summation.
Honestly... I didn't read one single post on this thread after reading yours. Thanks SSB!

And to All... my apologies for my... everlasting...
shortcomings.

i lost my father and grandfather to it, and it's still funny

How sad, hopefully for you, you aren't the next one inline to get "it", and then you will see how funny "it" is...to watch your love one "die mentally" in front of you.
