I'm usually not a complainer but I've finally had enough. We live in Old Point Washington and love this neighborhood, the friendliest people in Walton County live here and I don't think there is a better better place you can be. My problem, the traffic on 395 from 98 to the church. I realize, no matter what, we're going to get a lot of cars with the schools, churches and Eden Gardens. The problem is the people racing to get to the church or the schools at 60MPH.

Then there is the school were the doting parents wait patiently for 30+ minutes to pick up their child and block 395 and my access to get home after work. I can't understand why we have busses going there if just about every parent is picking their child up. I'm sure there is some state statute that makes it illegal to impede traffic every weekday like that.

One last thing that combines both the churches and the schools. The 98/395 intersection is still super dangerous and I've seen a ton of wrecks and twice as many near wrecks. When school is starting or getting over and the same with church, the same people that race down 395 race across 98. It won't be long when another family loses someone. If you bring your kids to school or go to church here, please drive slow and please be careful crossing 98. They need to put turn lanes and better lighting there! Ok, I'm over it and feel better now, thanks for letting me rant... I should just be thankful to live in such a perfect place!

There is already a stop light at that intersection with arrows for those turning onto 395 or 98, what more can be done? If people are crossing against the light there is nothing that is going to make that any safer.

We live 7 miles from the school but if my kids ride the bus it is about an 80 minute bus ride! It sucks. If we had a better bus system less parents would drive their kids to school. The 6-8th graders share the same buses with the high school kids. So 10 year olds with 17 yr olds.
