I guess the Bob Dole ads worked in making everyone comfortable with talking these performance enhancing drugs.

I haven't personally experimented. Ah hem- don't need to, thx (not that there's anything wrong with others needing to).

But evidently so many others are experimenting and are excited to talk about their recent "rise in status". Friends, neighbors, colleagues, strangers sitting on the barstool next to me- they all feel the need to share with me the fact that they are using Cialis and Viagra and that they REALLY like it.

Am I wearing a "Tell me about your experience with the little blue pill" tee shirt?

Just thought I'd share here in the lounge. Should be funn to see where the thread goes from here.

I do know it irks me to no end to see those moronic commercials with the couple sitting in the bathtubs. I'm waiting for my little girls to ask me about Erectile dysfunction.....or "Mom, what's an erection and why can't you have one for more than 4 hours?"

Viagra's common side effects are nausea and having your sinuses break loose, neither of which is particularly romantic. Also, Viagra looks an awful lot like Aleve tablets and mixing them up can either be disappointing or scary, depending on what you were trying to achieve.

Speaking of Aleve, a very common side effect of Cialis is severe muscle cramps in your legs on the second or third day, which is apparently why they picture the couple soaking in their little bathtubs.

At least those are the stories I've heard

The next time I fly I'm going to take about half a box before I go through security and have to encounter the TSA!

While I understand that some people do suffer from this ailment and I am glad they found a cure, I wish the pharm industry would now devote their time, resources, and commercial budget to more important things.

I also wish insurance companies were as willing to shell out for common women's ailments that cost a fraction of those little blue pills. Most insurance policies do not cover basic/centuries old things like pregnancy or birth control pills (not just for pregnancy prevention) but pony up for Viagra and Cialis - which are not cheap.

And I don't want to constantly see those ads - especially during "family" programming.

Kind of like the ads for Feminine protection. These also should not be shown during family hour. They should devote a channel to just these kinds of ads. They could make a fortune.

It's called Lifetime! I swear during Project Runway they have at least one of those ads during every commercial break.

Those don't bother me as much as the ones for the pills where you only get a period 1-3 times a year or have to pee all the time.

Frankly I would be quite happy to not see any non-OTC pharm ads on the TV - and I think our health care budget would be too. Think of how much we could save without free Scooters and premium diabetes testing supplies constantly being hawked.

LOL...

I remember the whole Janet Jackson fiasco with the .25 second nip slip that could not be seen without having recorded the wardrobe malfuntion and then playing in back frame by frame. The alphabet groups got all up in arms about that; yet, they allowed all the Cialis and Viagra commercials to go on during prime time. How many parents had to answer the question "Daddy...what's a four hour erection?"

BWA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
