I just had the most terrible experience at COCO's! We took visiting family for a simple dinner, as we've been there before. Tonight's experience was not nice!!!

The owner was very nasty! When I mentioned I was a local, he could have cared less... and made it very well known! In my opinion, he doesn't care!

How 'bout charging 20% gratuity on a table of 6 when 2 of the 6 were children??? That was my gripe!

I will NEVER go back!

MARGARITAS WERE ALSO TERRIBLE!!! Sent them back and didn't reorder!

I was there tonight and had a good dinner and service was also good. Were you the person that was cussing at the waiter? Why should it matter if you are a local? Do you expect preferential treatment? Two at my table had margaritas and enjoyed them.

They were packed.

If you had been there before and had a good dinner why do you tell people not to go now?

Aren't children people too?

Sounds like you had too much to drink and now are being nasty in a public forum.

We've always had consistent, good service and food at Coco's. The Margaritas have always been good as have our interactions with the owner, and we visit quite often ;-)

Is there such a thing as a "good" margarita? I know many people like them but a margarita in a mexican restarant has to be foul doesn't it? :puke:

Mexicans make the best margaritas Amp. Duh.
So good that I'm going to a Cinco De Mayo party thrown by a guy named Jose. And it's so authentic...that it's a week early.

They use tequila that is cheaper than box wine. Then they try to cover up the tequila that tastes like gasoline with urine-flavored neon green swill that is worse than powdered lemonade. Oh, but all the salt on the rim makes it palatable.

Give me some Partida Anejo neat.

glad you were at CoCo's in order to sensibly respond. I have always enjoyed the food there and the Margarita's. As always, it is also the company you are with that makes the difference...and your own attitude!!! (some really fresh fish thrown into the deal is a plus! ;-) ....even tho I didn't get any...:sosad: )

If anyone has read my thoughts on CoCo's Margaritas in the past, you will know that you order them for the quantity, not quality. They do have a slick taste to them, but they are cheap and big! The prices at CoCo's are about the cheapest around, so tourists and locals, both, are able to eat inexpensively. Regarding gratuity on kids meals, kids are people and if they are served food, what is wrong with tipping for service? :boxing:;-):D
