Well, if anything, people will see it and hopefully not believe everything they hear and see and make informed decisions on their own, laughter or criticism aside.

Cramer appeals to the armchair traders (take that as you will 30Ashopper and traderx) who don't get the excitement of actually being on the trading floor. He's billed as some hard researching beacon of light and he wasn't. Then he got called out on it and he turned defensive. Partisan hack or not, he asked questions that millions of people would love to be able to ask the "experts".

I wasn't saying Cramer was partisan. I actually enjoy his show every once in a while. It's entertaining and sometimes he'll mention stocks I jot down to do research on.

People like Stewart like to hammer on networks like CNBC in an effort to promote their brand of populism, but if you watch CNBC regularly you'll get both sides including interviews every week with the perma-bears, so I think they are getting a bumb wrap. I don't see CNBC's job as telling you when to buy or when to sell, it's all about disseminating information, which I think they and other networks like Bloomerg and of course blog and sites do quite well. We'd all be in the dark without them.

I will say though I rely more on blogs these days for market analysis than I do CNBC. CNBC is more a real time info source now than it was for me in the past.

I am watching the rerun right now - I've never seen Stewart so pissed or tenacious.

This is a pretty impressive/non-humorous reaming and Stewart is making some VERY good points about the entire industry and its inconsistencies. Kramer was impressing me initially, but he is constantly changing his story and hemming and hawing quite a bit.

CNBC is so last century.
