Sounds like some folks want to rant or rave about Corporations, so give it a whirl. My brief thought is not so much what others do, but what I would do if I owned a substantial size corporation. I would choose a very limited number of charities to support, charities in which I believe. On occasion, during special circumstances, I may break my own guidelines and donate to those touching my heart.
The truth is, not everyone who shops with me may agree with my philosophy(business or personal) and charity work, but it is charity, going above that which is required. If someone is against any charity which I choose, he/she can inform me, or shop elsewhere.
I imagine it would be difficult for me to patronize a store that I agreed 100% with that business' philosophy, charity choices, etc. Not much different than trying to find a president with whom I agree 100%. In the meantime, I still need things so I will continue to shop and buy.
