I usually read the minutes and almost always the agendas, but I realize that I can send emails 'till I'm blue in the face and it's nothing compared to actually showing up. Thank you to everyone who does!

Now I believe they have to have an environmental impact study done I'll ask the Mrs's. By the way I think the EPA and folks In Bunker may have a big say, not to mention us Pt. Washington people. I took a look at the proposed blue prints and the setbacks have changed quite a bit. They also are supposed to notify the public but I made about 30 phone calls and nothing mailed and it was the first anybody new about it.

"Commissioners Pridgen and Brannon were indeed no-shows today, but Comm. Brannon's Assistant was in audience, taking notes. "

The assistant was NOT elected and expect the elected officials to show up not the assistants.

I hear you. Just giving the full picture. Brannon, Jones, and Meadows seats are up for changes/renewal.

I spoke to Commissioner Jones today and he said the two were tied up on a trip to Washington DC. I guess it is more 331 lobbying.

Don't you think Brannon and group would know about the County Commission meetings since these are planned for the entire year and travel to DC, as necessary, on dates so not to avoid being absent from them?

Commissioners Brannon and Pridgen and the County Administrator Ronnie Bell are in DC with the Northwest Florida economic development group comprised of Commissioners and economic development folks from across the region. This was discussed in a regular meeting a couple of months ago when it was decided who would go.

I know code enforcement meetings are the third thursday of every month and I still end up missing one or two a year due to a conflict.

If the new airport has direct flights to DC every 2-4 hours then I guess this sort of thing could be avoided. Do the meeting, catch a plane, go lobby, catch a plane, do the meeting.
