The article states 227 dying a day in Florida. It goes on to say the trucks have 168 units capacity. One assumes they wouldn’t just move the bodies in the back and right out the front the next morning making way for the next days wave. Makes for a great headline though.

article ends with
“The Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition offered Orlando Health three mobile refrigeration units, which we accepted out an abundance of caution. We did not request them and have no plans or need to utilize them at this time. Orlando Health has adequate morgue capacity,” said Kena Lewis, a spokesperson.
Also said,
“That means that likely in the coming weeks we are going to see bad, bad numbers,”
Finding morgue capacity is a top priority of health systems, said Drawdy.

Sounds like they are staging them in central Florida to be quickly sent where needed anticipating an increase in deaths. There could rural areas that lack adequate capacity, but maybe you’re right and it’s just clickbait.

In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis has forbidden mask mandates ... Leon County Circuit Judge John C. Cooper ruled that DeSantis’s order is unconstitutional. Cooper pointed out that in 1914 and 1939, the Florida Supreme Court ruled that individual rights take a back seat to public safety: individuals can drink alcohol, for example, but not drive drunk. DeSantis was scathing of the opinion and has vowed to appeal. Meanwhile, NBC News reported this week that information about the coronavirus in Florida, as well as Georgia, is no longer easily available on government websites.

DeSantis has certainly let power go to his head. He now believes he is above the law. It is sad for me to watch republican after republican move toward a desire for totalitarian (unchecked power) governing. I wonder how in the world they can sleep at night...
