Anyone else have this problem this time of year? My fingers hurt so dang bad! It is amazing how bad those little cracks can hurt. I've heard of all kinds of remedies but none are working for me. Right now the only way I can get them to stop hurting is to either superglue them or put that neosporin with pain stuff on them. :bang:

LL, that is very common, esp this time of year. There is a non-prescription product which you will find in most pharmacies called "Bag Balm." It consists mostly of Lanolin so it smells a little earthy musty. It is easiest to rub on your hands/feet just prior to going to bed. It may feel a little icky, but when you wake up, your hands/feet will feel soft as your body absorbs the lanolin. If you have actual open breaks in the skin due to cracking, you should see it heal after 4-5 days of use. If you are going to be outside in the harsh weather often, buy a small plastic container and transfer some Bag Balm into it so you can carry it with you and apply it regularly when outside. The original container is a bit awkward cube shaped tin.

If you have the skin breaking open, use the Bag Balm! If you do not have the breaks, let me know and I will send you something I made which is not so gooey, and it smells good too.

Well I might be able to handle the greasy stuff if I use it at night. I just can't stand having that junk on my hands. I guess that's part of it.

LL...try using the stuff at night and put gloves on....they sell these gloves for the ladies in the "spa" section of CVS/Walgreens. If your hands are as big as your head that might be a problem...but they do stretch!!!
