SunQuest Cruises’ Craft Beer Dinner with the Tennessee Firearms set for April 28th aboard the Solaris Yacht
Dinner cruise event will feature a five course dinner paired with exclusively brewed craft beer and music by popular area bluegrass band

The special event will feature a southern style five-course dinner paired with complementary craft beers brewed and selected by 30A Brewing Company Brewmaster Hank Standridge. In addition to enjoying cuisine and libations, guests will be entertained by the bluegrass jams of the Tennessee Firearms while cruising the Choctawhatchee Bay at sunset. Tickets are $59 and include both dinner and beer. Reservations for the limited event are required.

“The Craft Beer Dinner is a first of its kind event for the Solaris,” explained James Murray, General Manager of SunQuest Cruises. “Chef James Huckaby has prepared an impressive beer-friendly menu and Brewmaster Hank Standridge has selected the finest craft beers to accentuate each dinner course and intrigue the pallet. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled evening complete with dancing and festive tunes by the Tennessee Firearms.”

Chef Huckaby recently joined the staff of the Solaris and hails from noted Birmingham restaurants Highlands Bar & Grill, Bottega and Chez Fonfon. Highlights from the Craft Beer Dinner’s southern-inspired menu include South Walton Ceviche, Grilled Georgia Pharaoh Quail, Braised Pork Shoulder, Country Fried Veal Cutlet and Polenta Pound Cake. Each enticing course will be paired with brews carefully selected by Brewmaster Standridge. Standridge studied at the Siebel Institute in Chicago and the Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany, and has over eight years of recipe formulation experience along with International Brewing Certification. Beers on tap for the evening include Blonde Ale, American Pale Ale, South Coast India Pale Ale, Amber Ale and Stout.

The Tennessee Firearms are composed of Jerad Reynolds (fiddle), Neil Sebree (bass), Brian Wise (guitar) and Marcus Buckner (banjo). With experience performing all over the southeast, the Tennessee Firearms offer a traditional bluegrass sound with a modern twist. They approach music from a raw, simple and explosive perspective and their unique sound resonates the melodies found in the heart of bluegrass and traditional country music.

love the artwork Poor Truman!

Teresa, have you taken their cruise or know someone personally who has? I have a friend who is doing their daughter's wedding reception onboard this fall but is feeling a bit antsy just because she hasn't seen things first hand. They researched everything online only.

Or anyone with personal experience who cares to share. You can pm me if you like. Thanks!
