One day I got a call from my daughter when she was in the 8th or 9th grade. The headmaster was sending her home because she said that my daughter was wearing bedroom slippers. Excuse me? I had on the same damned leopard shoes at work. We bought them at Neiman's, and they weren't bedroom slippers. I mean, this woman would definitely have been a candidate for "What Not To Wear." I zoomed into her office and defended my daughter's right to wear the shoes. But poor baby was so embarrassed by it all that she never wore those shoes again.
