Hope you have some chicken soup available. Need to run lotsa hot fluids through any flu.
Have you considered getting a new pup? Would be healing for you.

I do have chicken soup available but haven't had too much of an appetite today. The doctor mentioned flu due to the achiness I had the week before but I thought you could have that with sinuses also. He also asked if anyone at my work had strep throat as I had a pus place on my throat but I always have that one small spot every time my sinuses get really bad.

I have thought about a new pup but my husband says no. I have a 3 week old one I could buy in 3 weeks that is a black lab puppy and I could have this 3 month old chocolate lab free right now but he said no also to that one. We had two for 15 years straight.

And I know this may sound bad, but I have liked being able to just pack up and go on a trip when we wanted, without having the guilt on me about leaving a dog boarded at a vet for 10 days. Does that sound awful?

We loved our dogs a lot and miss them but both were sick with cancer and you would have to say died because of their cancer. Part of me wants another pooch but part of me doesn't as I like being able to just go when we want.

feel better...

Thanks Hop. I have had I think year round issues this time with the sinuses. But not to the point of keeping a fever near or over 100 for the past four days like I have.

precious videos. Thanks for posting.

Ladyde, I believe it's time for you to get youself a puppy.

I know Johnrudy, but I just don't think I can right now. Our two were so expensive with their diabetes and heart problems, diabetes and thyroid problem, and then cancer in both of them. I cannot tell you the money we spent over their lifetime.

Not at all. I think it is clear that you gave your two pups all the love any dogs could ask for and more. Take your time and enjoy your freedom. When you are ready and the time is right, a new furry friend will come into your life. Get better soon:love:

They were very much loved, and the momma to our male that died last year was from the pound. She indeed was a very lucky dog. This is my husband's favorite video. This pooch is 3 years old now though according to the owner.

Right where my wife and I are at. Had a dog for the last 20+ years and now enjoy the ability to not need to worry about doggy care when gone visiting the grand babies. It will grow old for me sooner than the Mrs due to her allergies to pets in general. I have had a dog for over 40 years and it kills me to be alone when the Mrs is gone.

I just hate coming home from work to a yard and house with no dog greeting us with that greeting bark of his. Both of them, if you were only gone even 30 minutes you got the biggest greeting when you got back like they hadn't seen you all day. I miss that.

When we first moved to a piece of property in Northern MN, our neighbor had a huge dog that became very protective of the kids. Would come to the house when we got home and you'd swear that dog was counting the kids to make sure they were all there. Would stick its big head right inside the minivan with all of em.
As soon as it was happy that all were accounted for, it would go home.

That is cute. I can just picture this. I am sure the kids played with that dog. And that was the dog's way of greeting them.

We did the same thing LadyD, I understand completely. We have always had a dog and when our daughter was a senior in HS, our cocker spaniel died. He was 13 and greatly loved and it was hole in our family for a long time.

However we to, knew with our daughter soon to be off to college we really did not want the responsbility and expense of another dog, so we did not get one.

Until 2 years later when our daughter went to a college basketball game and fell in love with our current dog. I can't imagine my life without her. She has been such a comfort to be since losing my Dad.

You will know when the time is right. Thanks for the videos, they were a happy brightening to my day.
