The menu at D&K's offers literally something for everyone, no matter what your budget is or what kind of food you like. With tough economic times upon us, anyone lucky enough to be able to visit Sowal on vacation would be hard-pressed to find a better place to spend their tourist dollar.

I almost forgot to thank you for posting this....because I think many people get confused that we might be higher priced then we actually are.

I would like to add my "compliments to the chef" as well. D & K's is fantastic! My wife and I ate there after attending the Soiree Saturday night and it was a wonderful meal. Katz is right about one thing. The price range allows even those with limited financial resources to participate in absolutely the best restaurant around. Please continue to provide such wonderful delicacies to us who are fortunate enough to live here in SoWal. I agree wholeheartedly it is the best restaurant in the area overall and you are missing a great meal if you haven't tried it.

D & K's ... BEST FRIED SHRIMP ON THE COAST!

You know, I have lived on 30-A since February of this year and have often said I'd love to sample all of the restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, due to a strict budget I have not done so. Some friends of mine in SanDestin and I agreed that we would eat at one of the better restaurants there at least once a month but haven't started our quest yet.

I've been away from home since September the 1st on business, but when I return I'll be sure to visit B&K's. My friend's wife has eaten there and had quite nice things to say about it.

Haven't seen anything about D&K since November. Are they still open for lunch and dinner? Anyone been lately?

love D&K, smoked fish dip is great as is the hot seafood dip. My fav is the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits app for an entree; hubby loves the crab dressed ribeye. The chocolate torte is wonderful as well. Last trip we ate there 3 times I believe. One night was a table of 17, they took a reservation for us and our service and food were both wonderful.

I agree with other posters that the atmosphere is great, you can have such a nice view from the western windows.

This is great food, great service, great atmosphere, great location and all for a great price-what more could you want!?!
